Hybrid and gas vehicle market in Russia is not the same as the local petrol/diesel vehicle market. Demand in vehicles is driven with “prestige” – but it doesn’t cover such things as environmental safety or fuel efficiency. Hybrid and gas vehicle suppliers meet additional difficulties in Russia – and absence of legislative “incentives” for use of hybrid or gas-driven engines is one of them.
